Power Continue to Build Roster

The Pittsburgh Power added nine players to their roster, including Pittsburgh native Kevin McCabe. McCabe will round out the quarterback position with fellow local Anthony Morelli and Bernard Morris. For their protection, the trio of Quarterbacks will look to newly signed linemen Nick Royal & Ben Staggs. Wide receivers David Ball, Royce Adams, Terry Grossetti and Jason Willis will all be added to the offense as well. Linebackers Chris Graham and Mike Dell & defensive end Curtis Young were also signed as General Manger and Owner Matt Shaner, and Coach Chris Siegfried continue to build a powerful Pittsburgh defense. "We continue to approach player acquisition with an eye towards creating competition and depth at all positions but doing so with high character people," remarked Shaner after the announcement.

Pittsburgh Power signs local high school standout, Kevin McCabe

The Pittsburgh Power sign former Pine-Richland star quarterback, Kevin McCabe. The California University of Pennsylvania quarter back led his team to a 12-2 record and a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Title, setting multiple personal records along the way. McCabe was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent before joining the Power.

Born: 06/25/1984

Experience: A native of Gibsonia, Pa., McCabe became the first Cal U quarterback to throw for 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns. In addition to school records for yards and touchdowns, McCabe established single-season school marks for completions and total offense. He also earned All-PSAC West Second Team honors and played in the Valero Cactus Bowl, an all-star game for Division II players.

Pittsburgh Power signs Offensive Lineman Ben Staggs

The Pittsburgh Power signed offensive lineman of the year Ben Staggs. Staggs played college football at West Liberty University and was rated the best lineman in the nation coming out of high school in 2005.

College: West Liberty University

Experience: Ben Staggs was a two-year starter for West Liberty University and is best known for winning the Gene Upshaw award for the best lineman in the nation and the Don Hansen's Football Gazette Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Pittsburgh Power signs Linebacker, Mike Dell

Pittsburgh signed power linebacker Mike Dell from West Chester University. Dell was selected to the second team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East despite playing only five games that season. He also represented West Chester University in the 2010 Division II all-star game, where NFL scouts come to watch the best Division II players from around the nation play football.

Experience: Mike Dell was an extremely talented linebacker for West Chester University and was being shaped to become the Golden Ram's top defensive player of the year in 2007, ranking among the nation's leaders in tackles per game. Dell serves as a great anchor for the inside linebacker position on the defensive side of the ball. His quickness and impeccable footwork make him extremely difficult to block and he embodies an unnatural instinct to attack the ball on every single play.

Pittsburgh Power signs Offensive Lineman, Nick Royal.

The Pittsburgh Power signed Offensive Lineman Nick Royal, a two year starter out of Hampton University. Royal was ranked as the 51st best Offensive Lineman in the 2010 NFL Draft.

College: Hampton University

Born: 04/20/1988

Experience: Nick Royal trained for the 2010 NFL draft where he showed his strength and potential as a strong lineman with a forceful point of attack. At Hampton University he was a 2-year starter on the offensive line and in 2009 Royal was named to the Second Team All-MEAC.

Pittsburgh Power signed Wide Receiver, David Ball.

The Pittsburgh Power signs standout wide receiver, David Ball. Ball played college football at New Hampshire University and served on the pre-season squads of both the Chicago Bears and the New York Jets. Ball then moved on to play with the Montreal Alouettes and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, both of the Canadian Football League.

Born: 06/6/1984

Experience: David Ball was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Chicago Bears in 2007, and later signed with the New York Jets where he scored his first NFL touchdown in his pre-season appearance against the Philadelphia Eagles. Ball began playing in the CFL in 2008 with the Montreal Alouettes and then for the Montreal Tiger-Cats. Ball was a 4 year starter for the New Hampshire Wildcats, breaking the Division I-AA record for touchdown receptions, previously set by Jerry Rice. He went on to score an additional 7 touchdowns establishing a new record of 58 touchdowns and he currently holds the record for the most career receiving yards and most 100 yard receiving games.

Pittsburgh Power signed Linebacker, Chris Graham.

The Pittsburgh Power signs multidimensional linebacker and fullback, Chris Graham. Graham played college football at the University of Michigan and played with both the New Orleans Saints and the Detroit Lions prior to becoming a member of the Pittsburgh Power. Chris Graham Profile:

Born: 09/30/1984

Experience: Chris Graham was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with the New Orleans Saints in 2008, but signed later that year to the Detroit Lions. During Graham's career at the University of Michigan he played in numerous games as a true freshman and went on to start in the following 3 seasons. Graham racked up big stats at the linebacker position, which earned him the Roger Zarkoff award as Michigan's top linebacker and an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention for defense.

Pittsburgh Power Signs Wide Receiver, Terry Grossetti

The Pittsburgh Power continues to build their ever growing talented pool of wide receivers, adding Slippery Rock graduate Terry Grossetti to their roster. Grossetti played college football for the Pride and was noted for having great hands and big-play potential.

Height/Weight: 6-4/190

College: Slippery Rock University

Professional Experience: IFL

DOB: 01/15/86

Experience: While at Slippery Rock Grossetti finished 10th in pass receptions and 11th all time in receiving yards. One of the most valuable talents that Grossetti brings to the Power is his good hands. Grossetti had great success as a college receiver and the Power expect that this big play-ability will add excitement and explosiveness to their offense. Grossetti played for a short period of time in the IFL for the Rochester Raiders before signing with the Power.

Pittsburgh Power signs Defensive End, Curtis Young

The Pittsburgh Power signed defensive pass rusher, Curtis Young. Young played defensive end at the University of Cincinnati before being drafted into the United Football League by the Sacramento Mountain Lions in 2010. Young was also selected to try out for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals before signing with the Power.

Born: 01/08/1986

Experience: Curtis Young was a part of the back-to-back Big East Conference Championship teams in 2008 and 2009 with the Cincinnati Bearcats. He is a mature player with skills that will attribute immensely to a strong defensive line. While proving himself as a very effective pass rusher while playing for the Bearcats, he also shows a great aptitude for making tough tackles. Young played one season with the UFL's Sacramento Mountain Lions before earning a spot as an anchor to the defensive line for the Power.

Pittsburgh Power announced the signing of Wide Receiver, Royce Adams The Pittsburgh Power signed wide receiver Royce Adams, a four-year standout with Purdue. Adams attended training camp with the Cleveland Browns prior to signing with the Power. !

Royce Adams Profile:

Height/Weight: 6'0/190

College: Purdue

Born: 05/03/88!

Experience: Royce Adams played all four years at Purdue, serving as a very versatile player while filling various positions on the field. Adams played defensive back, cornerback, wide receiver and special teams, earning the #17 ranking for average punt return yards. After trying out for the Browns, Adams found his home in Pittsburgh with the Power where his ironman skills will be very valuable.

Pittsburgh Power signs wide receiver Jason Willis!

The Pittsburgh Power signed former NFL wide receiver Jason Willis. Willis played football at the University of Oregon prior to playing professional football in the NFL and AFL. Jason last played for the Jacksonville Sharks, helping them into the post season before joining the Power.

College: Oregon

Professional Experience: NFL, AFL

Born: 07/26/1980

Experience: After standing out at the University of Oregon, Willis entered the NFL in 2003 where he played for the Seattle Seahawks and the Miami Dolphins for several years. Willis left the NFL to play for the Jacksonville Sharks, helping them earn a playoff berth and earning honors as top receiver.
