
PBL Announces All-League Teams
April 16, 2009 - Premier Basketball League (PBL) News Release
Chicago, IL - The Premier Basketball League today announced the members of their All-League teams. These teams were selected by a vote of the PBL head coaches.
Keith Friel of the Rochester RazorSharks leads the charge for the PBL All-League First team. Joining Friel on the first team was fellow guards, Rashi Johnson of the Battle Creek Knights and Randy Gill of the Detroit Panthers. At the forward spots are Cedric McGinnis of the Wilmington Sea Dawgs and Tyrone Rayson of the Buffalo Stampede. At the center spot is Jonas Pierre of the Quebec Kebs.
The PBL All-League Second team is made up of Alex Harper of the Wilmington Sea Dawgs and Benson Collier of the Vermont Frost Heaves at the guard position. James "Mook" Reaves of the Rochester RazorSharks and AJ Millien manned the forward positions and Walt Waters of the Detroit Panthers was the man in the middle.
"With all of the talent in the PBL it was difficult for the coaches to pick the All-League teams," said PBL Chairman of the Board Dr. Severko Hrywnak. "The PBL congratulates each of the players for their outstanding seasons."
Individual awards will be announced tomorrow including Most Valuable Player, Sixth Man of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.
