Washington Spirit Defender Anna Heilferty to Miss 2023 Season with Injury

Washington, D.C. - Washington Spirit defender Anna Heilferty will miss the entire 2023 season due to a knee injury, the club announced today. Heilferty recently signed a new two-year contract with the Spirit with a team option for 2025. Heilferty, who hails from Falls Church, Va., will remain with the team throughout her recovery in 2023 and continue her community work with DC's Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE)....
