Hillsboro, OR - Chad Patrick made his first appearance as a Hop on his 24th Birthday and was brilliant. Patrick struck out seven and allowed no earned runs over four innings. The Hops tossed their fifth one-hitter in team history, with the only Spokane hit coming in the second inning on a bloop single by Colin Simpson.
