(Pawtucket, RI) - The Syracuse Chiefs used a five-run second inning to win the rubber match of a five-game series, taking down the Pawtucket Red Sox, 6-1, on Thursday night at McCoy Stadium.
The five-run frame, which was capped by Trea Turner's two-run home run (4) into the PawSox bullpen, was the biggest inning allowed by the Pawtucket pitching staff in June. (The team entered the night with a 2.42 ERA this month.)
