Angels Select Contract of Former BayBear Matt Thaiss

BILOXI, Miss. - The Los Angeles Angels announced Wednesday that they have selected the contract of Matt Thaiss, a former member of the Mobile BayBears, from Triple-A Salt Lake. Thaiss is scheduled to bat seventh and play third base in his Major League debut Wednesday night at Globe Life Park in Arlington against the Texas Rangers.
