Patriots Blank Ducks to Open Series

(Bridgewater, N.J., July 10, 2015) - The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the Somerset Patriots 2-0 on Friday night in the opener of a three-game series at TD Bank Ballpark. Somerset went ahead 1-0 in the first inning on a RBI ground out from Michael Burgess. Burgess extended Somerset's lead to 2-0 with a solo homer off of Ducks starter John Brownell in the sixth inning.
