January 20, 2026 - EL SEGUNDO - The South Bay Lakers have acquired forward Zach Hicks from the NBA G League Player Pool. In a related move, the team has waived center Cheikh Mbacke Diong. Hicks (6'8", 200) recently began his professional career in Spain, appearing in 14 games for UCAM Murcia. The 22-year-old played four collegiate seasons at Penn State (2023-25) and Temple (2021-23). Four South Bay players scored in double figures, led by Los Angeles Lakers two-way forward Drew Timme, who recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 31 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block. January 14, 2026 - EL SEGUNDO - The South Bay Lakers have acquired forward Keylan Boone and guard James Reese from the NBA G League Player Pool. Boone (6'8", 200) most recently played internationally in Argentina (2025) and New Zealand (2024-25). Collegiately, the Oklahoma native played five seasons at UNLV (2023-24), Pacific (2022-23) and Oklahoma State (2019-22).
