Avista Stadium Selected as NCAA Regional Site

April 29, 2016 - SPOKANE, Wash. - Avista Stadium, in conjunction with Whitworth University and the Spokane Sports Commission, has been selected as the site for the 2016 NCAA Division III Baseball West Regional May 18-22. Steven Okert Debuts for Giants

April 20, 2016 - KEIZER, Ore. - With a relief outing of two scoreless innings in Tuesday's matchup vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks, Steven Okert became the 91st former Salem-Keizer Volcanoes player to play in the Major Leagues. The left-handed pitcher, who played for the Volcanoes in 2012, struck out two batters and drew a double play. Joe Biagini Debuts for Blue Jays

April 12, 2016 - Joe Biagini, a right-handed pitcher on the 2012 Salem-Keizer Volcanoes squad, made his Major League Debut for the Toronto Blue Jays on April 8. Biagini marks the 88th former Volcano to play in the Major Leagues. Biagini was born in Menlo Park, Calif. and played collegiately at UC Davis. He was selected in the 26th Round of the 2011 MLB First Year Player's Draft by the Giants.
