Viza K's Career-High 11 in Win

May 1, 2016 - CLEARWATER, Fla. - Tyler Viza struck out a career-high 11 batters on Sunday afternoon, leading the way to a 4-2 win in the series finale over the Lakeland Flying Tigers at Bright House Field. Viza improved to a perfect 4-0, limiting Lakeland (12-12) to just one run on four hits across a season-high 6.1 innings. The 21-year old right-hander cut down 11 Flying Tigers on strikes, including eight of the swinging variety. Pitching Stands Tall as Crabs Take Series

May 1, 2016 - PORT CHARLOTTE, FL - The Charlotte Stone Crabs' league-leading pitching staff did it again on Sunday afternoon, lowering its ERA to 2.24 in a 2-1 victory over the Fort Myers Miracle. The win gave Charlotte its first series triumph in its last three and brought the team within two games of first place in the FSL South. T-Yanks Split Twin-Bill with Walk-Off Win

May 1, 2016 - TAMPA, Fla. - After dropping the opening game, 7-4, the Tampa Yankees (15-8) celebrated their first walk-off win of the season, 3-2 in 10 innings, to split the double-header with the Brevard County Manatees (5-18) on Saturday night at George M. Steinbrenner Field. LHP Ian Clarkin (2-2) got the start in the opener and took the loss, allowing a season-high five earned runs on 10 hits in three and two-third innings. Tortugas in Seventh Heaven Friday Night

April 29, 2016 - Daytona Beach, FL - The Daytona Tortugas scored their most runs in 20 games, beating the Dunedin Blue Jays, 7-1, Friday night at Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The seven runs is only bested by the 10 runs scored by Dayton in their second game of the season. Blake Butler homered and drove in a season-high four runs.
