Martin Named Cal League Player of the Week

May 31, 2016 - LANCASTER, Calif. - JetHawks outfielder Jason Martin has been named the California League Player of the Week for the week of May 23-29, the league announced on Tuesday. Martin hit .460 (14-for-25) with four home runs and 12 RBI during the week. The 20-year-old posted a .483 OBP and a whopping 1.120 slugging percentage during the week. Giants Shutout Nuts Behind Coonrod's Masterpiece

May 30, 2016 - SAN JOSE, CA - Sam Coonrod and two relievers combined on a three-hit shutout Monday afternoon as the Giants earned a 3-0 win over the Modesto Nuts at Municipal Stadium. With the victory, San Jose (30-19) took three out of four games in the home-and-home series from the Nuts. Coonrod (5-1) allowed just two hits with three walks and a season-high seven strikeouts during his masterful outing.
