| More information: | This is IPB's third event of the year. This is a (10 day) evaluation/instructional showcase always taking place in Arizona prior to Major League Baseball’s amateur 2010 June draft. It is very similar in comparison to the National Football League Combine. Player's are evaluated by professional instructors, coaches and scouts from Major League Baseball organizations and Professional Independent League teams. The objective is to create exposure which can lead to draft enhancement or a free agent (player) signing a professional contract. This event targets the draft eligible high school or college player but does not exclude the free agent or underclassmen. Live evaluations are made in games that are scheduled against Major League organizations along with event intra-squad games. This event will take place at Scottsdale Stadium the Spring Training home of the San Francisco Giants. |
