Yakima Valley Warriors Will Not Play in 2012

August 28, 2011 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA)
Yakima Valley Warriors News Release

Palm Harbor, FL - Michael Mink, majority owner of the Yakima Valley Warriors Professional Indoor/Arena Football Team, has announced that the team will not return for the 2012 season and is up for sale.

Mr. Mink cited poor economic conditions and with the Yakima Bears Professional Baseball Team returning in 2012, their is not enough corporate support for two professional teams.

It is expected that when new ownership is found the team will pursue entry into the Indoor Football League for the 2013 season. The IFL has teams in Kenniwick, Wenatchee, Kent and is pursuing a team in Everett. Mr Mink said, "That the Washington presence of the IFL just makes sense for new ownership to join the IFL".

Interested parties can email Mr. Mink at mmink@yakimavalleywarriors.com
