Warriors Evaluations Continue

YAKIMA, Washington (February 28, 2010), The Yakima Valley Warriors of the American Indoor Football Association are poised to begin training camp in anticipation of the kickoff of their 2010 inaugural season.

The team will begin a free agent player evaluation period on Tuesday, March 2 at Yakima Valley Community College (YVCC), and the evaluation will continue at Eisenhower High School on Wednesday, March 3 and Thursday, March 4.

"The next three days will be crucial for determining which positions we will need to fill for training camp", said Head Coach Lance Brown.

Training camp will officially begin on Saturday, March 6 at an undisclosed scrimmage location and continue on Tuesday March 9 at YVCC, followed by practices on Wednesday March 10 and Thursday March 11 at Eisenhower High School. Camp will resume on Saturday March 13 at an undisclosed location, and then conclude with practices on the following Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at YVCC.

The Warriors begin their season with an away game at the Wenatchee Valley Venom on March 20 and will host their first home game on Saturday, April 3 at the Yakima Valley SunDome.

"It's been a long wait since last July," said former Miami Dolphin wide receiver Gabe Hatchett, "I can't wait to get back out on the field."
