LAKE CHARLES - Mobile Bay fans have submitted their team names and the top five names are the Mobile Bay Revelers, the Bay Rays, the Mobile Bay Cannons, the Mobile Bay Tarpon, and the Mobile Maniax.
Ashley Ryan, Director of Sales and Marketing said, "This was an exciting week for our organization. The buzz is all over town about the upcoming season." Head Coach Bill McWhorter echoed, "Everywhere I go people are asking about the team name. I know this team has already won the hearts of many indoor football fans, but I feel we're just scratching the surface. This thing is about to explode! We've got the best owners, best media support, and best infrastructure I've ever seen in a first year team."
This week the Mobile organization will allow the fans to choose from one of these top five names. Fans are encouraged to visit www.mobilebayindoorfootball.com and cast their vote. The fan that chooses the team name will win two season tickets to the inaugural season and be invited to toss the coin on opening night.
The team will start selling season tickets on Monday September 20th. The SIFL will release the 2011 schedule in late October of this year.
