River City Raiders Sign QB/DB Chris Royal

River City Raiders General Manager Lin Hart Jr announced today the River City Raiders have signed and want to welcome AFL vet Chris Royal QB/DB.

Royal, the brother of NFL receiver Eddie Royal, was the 2007 Spalding Rookie of the Year for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers of the AF2. Royal is a AFL veteran who comes to River City Raiders with extensive AFL experience at both QB and DB where he holds several team and league records for interceptions.

River City Vice President/General Manager Lin Hart Jr said, "We are extremely happy to add Chris to our 2016 roster. He will come into training camp with chance to play quarterback first and most importanly be an asset to our River City Raiders organization on and off the field."

Royal played college football for the Marshall Thundering Herd. Chris is currently current the passing game coordinator for the Glenville State Pioneers Football Program. He is also the current franchise leader for interceptions for the Tulsa Talons as well as the Wilkes Barre-Scranton Pioneers Arena Football Teams.
