Norfolk Nighthawks News Release
NORFOLK -- The Norfolk Nighthawks took a steady diet of fullback rushes and punishing hits as the Mohegan Wolves defeated the hometown team 51-36 in front of 4,229 fans.
Nighthawks QB Aaron Sparrow seemed to be rushed the entire night and never fell back into his rhythm that bought the Nighthawks three straight wins. Sparrow went 16 for 32 for 198 yards and two touchdowns. Sparrow suffered only one interception, which helped fuel the Wolves aggressive defense.
Wolves Quarterback Greg Smith was voted game MVP after throwing 286 yards and 6 touchdowns. The ADT Defensive player was Mohegan¹s WR/DB Anthony Comer. IRON MAN was Mel Long, after catching four of Smith's passes.
