Mississippi MudCats to Hold Tryouts

January 29th, 2008 (Tupelo, Ms) The Mississippi MudCats of the American Indoor Football Association announce plans for the last open player tryout at Robins Field in Tupelo. All athletes are required to sign a waiver and pay $50 cash only registration fee. Athletes are required to bring cleats or sneakers and dress in workout gear, pads should not be worn. The MudCat coaching staff will administer various timing and position drills, participants will partake in physical skills such as the 40-yard dash and the short shuttle drill. Players will also be separated by positions and will work through drills specific for their positions. Top performers will be offered the opportunity to showcase their talents during a two-day workout in training camp. The MudCats are looking to build their 2008 roster before training camp opens in February. Tryout Details

- Where: Robins Field in Tupelo, MS

- When: Saturday, February 15th beginning at 9:00AM

Note: This will be the last tryout held by the MudCats. There will be a $50 dollar registration fee to players trying out unless they pre-register and they will receive a $10.00 discount for pre-paying the registration fee. Players will be tested by the MudCats Coaching staff during this elite work out. The event will consist of 40 yard dash/ 20 yard dash L- Drill /Pro Shuttle / Position Drills and one on one drills. These drills will be performed on grass, so players will need to bring cleats or sneakers.

All interested athletes please read the following:

Participants must be at least 18 years old and should bring a copy of photo identification and a current insurance card. Mississippi MudCats and Waide professional sports will not be liable for any pre-existing conditions of any athlete participating in an open tryout for consideration of membership of the Mississippi MudCats Indoor Football team. If an athlete does not have current insurance, then a waiver releasing Waide Professional sports must be signed by the athlete or they will not be allow to participate.
