Knights Look for Revenge against Thunder

April 17, 2009 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA)
Ogden Knights News Release

This will be the second meeting between rivals Utah Valley Thunder and the Ogden Knights.

The war on I-15 officially began last Saturday night at the Golden Spike Event Center. The Utah Valley Thunder prevailed in the exciting first meeting by a score 57-42. The Knights were stopped at the 1 yard line twice in the game, which helped Utah Valley to it's first win over the Knights.

With a record of 3-1, the Utah Valley Thunder are the upstart team in the Western Division this season. On Satur- day nights victory over the Knights they used a punishing running attack and precision passing to prevail. This Saturday nights contest will be played at the McKay Event center, which is located on the Utah Valley College Campus in Orem, Utah. The Thunder will be hosting a college night where students with ID's get in for 1/2 price admission.

The Knights found their offensive leader at the quarterback position in last Saturday nights ballgame. Brendon Doyle had one of his best games as a Knight and showed the promise that coach Mink was expecting. Maurice Bryant re- turned last week was very encouraging to the Knights offence as he showed signs of his potential offensive explosion that the Knights were expecting. The Knights expect another tough contest Saturday night, and if they can play 4 quarters of football they will prevail in the contest. GO KNIGHTS!
