Ogden Knights News Release
KNIGHTS ROSTER
This will be the fourth and final meeting of 2009 between the Utah Valley Thunder and the Ogden Knights.
Knights Win Big In New Mexico!
The Knights are coming off another road victory at the Santa Ana Star Center, last Friday night, with a 62-42 win over the New Mexico Wildcats. The Knights used a balanced offensive attack by passing the ball 23 times and rushing the ball 21 times. The defense for the Knights was much improved as they slowed the Wildcat offense down to 5-8 play drives as the New Mexico team became frustrated in the 4th quarter. The Knights jumped out to a 21 point lead to take charge of the game as the Knight's defense created big stops against the Wildcat offense.
Justin Oswald, "The Wizard of Oz", carried the ball 16 times for 64 yards and 2 touchdowns. Justin created punishing holes in the Wild- cat defense and continued to run downhill all game. Quarterback Caleb Eastman continued to provide confidence for the offensive side of the ball with consistent play and leadership on the field. The Knights time to celebrate is short lived as they face I-15 rival Utah Valley Thunder on Satur- day night at the Golden Spike Event Center
The Utah Valley Thunder are currently 8-3 and fighting for the division championship. This game is a must win game for the Knights as they look to avenge a 70-69 overtime loss 2 weeks ago. A victory against the Thunder would be a big program win for the Knights that would lead them into 2010 and continue the building of the Knights football program.
The Knights are still looking for foursomes for their charity golf tournament, on July 17th. Support the Knights in their fight against Can- cer and call today to reserve your foursome. This Saturday Night will be Military Appreciation Night all tickets are 2 for 1 with a special halftime dedication.
The Knights final home game is against, the New Mexico Wildcats, on June 29th at the Golden Spike Arena , which will be Beach Party Night with a charity car show from 4:30-6:30. GO KIGHTS!
