Knights Add Two Linemen; Alexander And Smith

November 26, 2009 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA)
Ogden Knights News Release

The Ogden Knights Professional Indoor Football team has strengthened their offensive and defensive lines this past week by signing OL/DL Archie Alexander II and OL/DL Delonte Smith.

Alexander and Smith bring size, depth and five years of experience each to both sides of the playing field.

Alexander comes into Ogden at 6'8", 335 lbs and totes six years of professional playing time, five seasons of which were played indoors (2 years AIFA, 2 years NIFL, 1 year IFL). Not only has he played both sides of the ball, but has lined up as a left and right guard.

Smith may only come in at 6'2", 280 lbs, but like Alexander, he has experience on his side; five seasons to be exact (1 year AIFL, 2 years NIFL, 2 years IFL). In 2008, Smith broke through the arena ranks and received a tryout with the AFL Georgia Force. Smith was lined up to sign a contract with the force, but due to the league closing its doors for the 2008 season, many players were left out of a job, including Smith. Instead of giving up, Smith continued to strive for the best in everything he does and find success everywhere he goes.

"I believe with the addition of myself and Archie, and the experience Coach Coleman brings to the table, we can do what is necessary to bring a championship home for the fans and the great City of Ogden."
