December 20, 2007 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL)
Fort Wayne Freedom News Release
The Fort Wayne Freedom, a first-year member of the Continental Indoor Football League owned and operated by Fort Wayne Sports Partners, will be at Glenbrook Square on Friday, December 21st to give locals a last chance to donate to Toys for Tots for the current holiday season.
The Freedom Holiday kiosk, located outside of Sears Department Store, has been selling the newest Freedom merchandise, Freedom Fighter's Kid's Club memberships and giving away season tickets for the past week and will continue through the middle of January. However, this Friday, fans can drop by and donate a toy in the Toys for Tots box and receive a complimentary ticket to the Freedom's first-ever home game in their return to the Memorial Coliseum, March 9th vs. Milwaukee. Every fan who donates a toy will receive a voucher good for one ticket to the Sunday afternoon opener.
"Everything we are doing as an organization is to benefit the city of Fort Wayne", said General Manager Mike McCaffrey. "Our fans are passionate about giving back and we wanted to let them show how much they can assist us in doing something very good for the Toys for Tots program".
Quarterback Matt Pike (Huntington North, Purdue) will be on hand to sign autographs and interact with fans, along with the rest of the Freedom staff, who will be available to help with those last-minute stocking stuffers. Nothing stuffs a stocking like Fort Wayne Freedom season tickets and Freedom Fighter's Kid's Club membership.
Season tickets for the 2008 Fort Wayne Freedom season are on sale now. Fans can purchase tickets by calling 471-FREE (3733) or by visiting the team's website at www.fwfreedom.com for seat locations and pricing.
