OTTAWA, ON - A confident Fury FC returns home for a midweek fixture against former Fury FC defender Drew Beckie and the Carolina RailHawks after snapping a three-game losing streak and scoring a crucial 2-0 win last Saturday in Jacksonville.

The victory marked Ottawa's first Fall Season win and first road win of the 2016 NASL campaign as the club returns home to TD Place with some momentum.

Saturday against Armada FC, Fury was very opportunistic in the final third, taking advantage of their scoring chances to help them get back on the winning track. Head coach Paul Dalglish hopes that his team will get the necessary injection of confidence to catch fire and start a winning streak.

"I fully expect that those goals will now give us that little bit of confidence and added belief that will help us going forward," said Dalglish. "We were very comfortable during that game in Jacksonville and it showed that if we get that first goal we are a very difficult team to beat."

Northern Irish striker Thomas Stewart found the back of the net in last Saturday's match for the first time in Fury FC colours, giving his team a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute. Stewart, who played with Carl Haworth up front - Haworth scored his team leading fourth goal in that game - was an offensive threat all game long. The 5-foot-11 Stewart was very pleased to score his first goal and is expecting the team to carry momentum from that win into Wednesday's match.

"It was great to score my first goal for the Ottawa Fury FC, it's always a nice feeling," said Stewart. "The team has been playing well but not wasn't getting that bit of luck in front of the goal, so hopefully now things will continue going our way."

"Wednesday against Carolina should be a tough game, but we are looking forward to play in front of our fans. It's important to keep the same focus and now try to maintain consistency in all areas of the field"

Fury FC will close out their busy week Saturday July 30th at 7 p.m. once again in front of a home crowd at TD Place when they take on Tommy Heinemann and the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
