CAN-AM Indoor Football League to Begin Play in 2017

September 19, 2016 - CAN-AM Indoor Football League (CAN-AMIF) News Release


In an announcement made today, member teams have declared the newly formed league will begin play in 2017. The league will use similar rules to the American Arena style of football, which will help assist players in making it to the next level of competition. The CAN-AM Indoor Football League is a team owned league where by every active team can partake in equal profit sharing within the league.

Meetings are set in October of 2016 for the team owners to put together the season schedule with play beginning in March 2017. The newly formed league will debut with 11 franchises consisting of an Eastern and Western division. Several other franchises are expressing interest in joining the newly formed league in 2017. "We are excited to be a part of the CAN-AM Indoor Football League and joining so many other great cities and storied organizations. This opportunity for us to bring another professional franchise to the City of Baltimore is nothing short forward to some great football in this league."?
