The X-League has completed its initial goal of six teams with the addition of our 6th member the Alabama Outlawz! The Outlawz will be playing at Bill Harris Arena in Birmingham, AL which has a seating capacity of 6,000. The team site can be accessed atwww.bamaoutlawz.com, additional news and updates on the team will follow after todays completed press conference.
"We are very excited to add the Outlawz to our league. They provide a stable and reputable organization that will help establish the X-League as the dominant indoor football league of the future," said President Kacee Smith.
Commissioner Michael Mink, an alumnus to the University of Alabama-Birmingham, attended the teams inaugural press conference in support of the newly announced franchise.
"It's great to add another team to our league and continuing to add formidable opponents for us to showcase. The Outlawz location is ideal for our expansion efforts and the Bill Harris Arena is a great atmosphere for indoor football. I'm honored to have Owner Lee Ellison on board and look forward to an exciting season with the Outlawz," explained Commissioner Michael Mink.
The Outlawz held a press conference this morning at City Hall. Birmingham's Mayor, local Congressman, the X-League Commissioner, and many others were in attendance anticipating the announcement.
