Abilene Ruff Riders News Release
The Abilene Ruff Riders are pleased to announce the signing of QB Joe Brannen. Brannen comes to the Ruff Riders after staring for the Iowa Barnstormers the former home of NFL great Kurt Warner.
In 2008, Joe became a star for the Barnstormers by throwing for over 3,000 yards and over 55 touchdowns in not even a full season. He also was able to lead the team in rushing touchdowns with 14.
Before his time with the Barnstromers, Brannen was a star player at Coe College where he was a two time first team all conference selection as well as Coe College's all time leader passer.
When asked about Brannen Coach King had this to say, "In football, it all starts with the quarterback. If you have a great quarterback, then your team has a chance to be great. Just look at the NFL playoffs and you will see how important it is to have a great quarterback. Luckily for us, Joe is a great quarterback. He is an NFL type talent who has already proven that he can excel at the indoor game. The people of Abilene are going to be excited to watch him play and are going to feel like our ticket prices are a steal when they are watching the type of talent that Joe brings to the table."
The Abilene Ruff Riders 2011 season kicks off on March 12. Season Tickets are as low as $35 per seat for the entire season. For season tickets or to become a valued partner in a soon to become championship winning SIFL franchise call (325) 677-7277.
