Supreme Indoor Football and Continental Indoor Football League Join Forces

Indoor Football Alliance (IFA) Supreme Indoor Football and the Continental Indoor Football League are coming together under the Indoor Football Alliance to play indoor football providing a coverage area from Michigan to Florida. Each league will operate under its own independent identity and play in its own league during the regular season. A national championship game would be played at the end of each season between the two leagues with some of the best football in indoor football will be seen both in league play and the championship game. The first four teams to became members of the alliance and represent their respective leagues Supreme Indoor Football and the Continental Football League have a long history of indoor football.
Cape Fear Heroes: Entering 5th season, 1 Championship (2012 - AIF), 1 Bowl Game Championship (2015 Platinum Challenge Bowl), 4 playoff appearances
Saginaw Sting: Entering 9th season, 3 Championships (2008, 2012 - CIFL/2011 - UIFL), 6 playoff appearances
Erie Explosion: Entering 10th season, 2 Championships (2013, 2014 - CIFL), 6 playoff appearances
Marion Blue Racers: Entering 7 season, 1 Southern Division Championship (2014 - CIFL), 3 playoff appearances
The alliance will be run by a group of industry veterans and national advisors with many years of expierence. In the alliance you will see cutting edge technology in video and statistics for all teams, international ties in a joint venture youth football project as well as a list of vendors and suppliers second to none.
The alliance will not forget about the players that play for the alliance, we understand that indoor football maybe a stepping stone for some and a home for others but in all each player plays to win and each player works to achieve a specific goal after each play and that goal should not be neglected. That's why we will have the latest in video sharing technologies at the finger tips of each team, coach and player. Teams, coaches and players alike and will be able to make highlight films and to view and see statistics regularly up to date with a couple clicks of a mouse.

Barbara Spigner (owner Indoor Football Alliance/SIF and Cape Fear Heroes) - "As being a member of the indoor football community for seven years and as a team owner who sometimes experienced harsh and financial hardships that I've gone through playing in leagues around the country. I noticed that there was a resistance to change for the betterment of our industry. I have been very concerned about the honesty, information not being shared and the transparency that was missing and felt it was time for a change. There was urgency needed and change in the way teams were being mistreated and more importantly how the community and players as a whole were being mistreated.
I also felt it was time to address the many concerns I and other team owners had that related to the economy and the health and safety of our players and our industry both as team and league owners. For these reasons I have founded the Indoor Football Alliance and Supreme Indoor Football organizations These organizations will bring a proven indoor staff and national advisors to the mix along with national media, increased sponsorship, branding, increased services and benefits and profit sharing. I am also pleased to say that teams that have signed on to the alliance will be receiving their share of profit-sharing from our first league sponsor shortly."
Bill Stafford (owner of Erie Explosion) - "The alliance concept with divisions allows each area to develop a regional identity. Each division using a revised game format places the teams in a better financial situation.
The financials can be improved by using the alliance's combined services & national sponsorship connections. Each division can then further develop regional radio & TV relationships."
LaMonte Coleman (owner of Marion Blue Racers) -"I am happy to join a group of owners that share the same vision and business plan for Indoor Football, President/CEO Marion Blue Racers says. We all love the game of football but teams have to think about other factors such as close travel and quality opponents so I think that this Alliance can provide a lot of those intangibles to be profitable."
Supreme Indoor Football (SIF) a professional indoor football league will begin play in 2016 and will be anchored by two time champion the Cape Fear Heroes with other teams and locations to be announced shortly. Its geographic footprint will run from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
Supreme Indoor Football is based on the concept of providing team owners one of the best business models in the industry by giving team's quality management as well as added services and products at reduced costs.
The Supreme Indoor Football will be different than other indoor leagues, first the league has surrounded itself with an advisory board to assist in the league operations that includes both in and outside of the industry leaders from football executives, a television attorney in sports contracts and programming and an executive in youth football with NFL and international ties.Â
The Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) is returning to the world of indoor football after a one year absence, it is based along the Midwestern United States region and has played for nine seasons from 2006 to 2014 before returning for the upcoming 2016 season. The league went through several name changes as it grew and was successful out of the gate, having a cumulative attendance of over 75,000 fans in their inaugural season
In July 2012, the CIFL changed ownership for the first time in its history, when Jeff Spitaleri sold the CIFL to Indoor Football Incorporated, which included Jim O'Brien and Stuart Schweigert and Rob Licht. The group is also the owner of the Saginaw Sting. The new ownership of the league sought to help current teams brand their product better, as well as look to expand the league, but its primary goal was to have competitive franchises that would make strong regional rivalries. The CIFL over its existence has placed many players to next level with a strong concentration in the AFL and CFL.
