Windsor Spitfires News Release
(Windsor, ON) - Luke Boka is the latest player taken in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection to commit to the Spitfires, after agreeing to a standard player & education package today with General Manager Warren Rychel.
Boka, 15, was Windsor's 5th Round selection (#95 overall) last month. He joins Kyle Auger and Cole Carter as newly drafted players who have agreed to terms.
"Luke is a very good all-around hockey player." Rychel said. "He plays with a real physical edge. He creates space for himself on the ice and can score. The thing I like the most about him is his intensity and approach to the game. He's a great addition to our young core."
The 5'11, 200-pound native of Plymouth, Michigan put up 16 goals and 17 assists, along with 112 penalty minutes, in 31 games playing right wing with the Victory Honda U16s during the 2014-15 season.
Boka and 29 other 1998 and 1999-born players are set to take part in the club's 2015 Mini-Camp this Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th .
