Rochester Knighthawks News Release
The Rochester Knighthawks will play their regular season home finale on Saturday, April 25th when they host the New England Black Wolves at 7:30 p.m. at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena. The Knighthawks will honor our men and women in uniform on Military Appreciation Night.
"I have an enormous respect for anyone who made the sacrifice and commitment to represent our country," said Knighthawks forward Joe Walters, whose father served in Vietnam. "They deserve all the credit and attention. They are the real heroes."
That night, the Knighthawks will raise funds for Honor Flight Rochester and Veterans Count. Fans can go online to www.knighthawks.com/military to purchase $15 ticket in the 200 Ends. Five dollars from each ticket will go to benefit the organizations. Throughout the game, Honor Flight Rochester and Veterans Count will be accepting donations as well.
The Knighthawks will also donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of special military-themed T-shirts to each group. To learn more about Honor Flight Rochester, go online to honorflightrochester.org. For more information on Veterans Count, go to vetscount.org.
