Pennsylvania Steam Joins X-LeagueOctober 15, 2013 - X-League (X-League) Savannah Steam
Missouri Sports Holdings now owns four sports franchises, the St. Louis Ambush (indoor soccer), St. Louis Attack (indoor football), Pennsylvania Roar (indoor soccer), and the newly announced Pennsylvania Steam (indoor football).
"We are excited to add another professional sports team to the Greater Reading area. The love of football, and history of minor league sports made Reading an easy decision." Said Missouri Sports Holdings CEO Andrew Haines.
"We are excited to have the Pennsylvania Steam as a charter member of the X-League. The ownership group is well qualified and the great city of Reading will provide passionate football fans," commented Commissioner Michael Mink.
The Steam also announced the hiring of Shane Houser as Head Coach for the upcoming season. Houser has served as General Manager of the Lancaster Lightning (RAFL) football club since 2006 and has been the team's defensive coordinator since 2010. He was the offensive line coach for the York Capitals (AIF) in 2012. Houser has played in indoor football with the New Jersey Red Dogs (AFL), Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers (AF2) and the Greenville Riverhawks (AIFL).
Houser graduated from Penn State with a Master's Degree in Business Management and he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Millersville University. He lives in Lancaster with his wife Brandy and their daughters Reagen, Avery and Lauren.

The Steam will hold an opener player tryout on Friday November 15th at the Santander Arena located at 700 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19602. The cost is $75.00 if pre-paid and registered, or $100 the day of the tryout. Email email@example.com for more information or to register.
