CIFL Welcomes Bluegrass Warhorses

August 27, 2013 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) News Release


Lexington, KY - August 28, 2013 - CIFL Front Office members Rob Licht and Jim O'Brien will be traveling to Lexington to officially welcome the Bluegrass Warhorses to the Continental Indoor Football League.

The press conference will be held on Wednesday, August 28th at 10am in the Oak Room at the Crowne Plaza at the Campbell House .

The Bluegrass Warhorses' mission is to provide indoor entertainment that is fun and affordable for the entire family. We are a fast-paced, hard-hitting, high-scoring, competitive professional football team with the will and determination to win championships. We are committed to being a member of the community by being involved with local schools and local non-profit organizations within Central Kentucky, i.e. Habitat for Humanity, The Wounded Warrior Project, Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Scott County Humane Society and MDA.

The Bluegrass Warhorses will play their home games in Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park. "We wanted the CIFL because we wanted a league with stability and experience," says team owner and General Manager Eric Taylor. "The league has been very supportive and extremely helpful, and we are very excited to be part of the legacy they have built."

Press Conference August 28th - CIFL Welcomes the NKY River Monsters

Newport, KY - August 28, 2013 - Members of the CIFL Front Office Jim O'Brien and Rob Licht will be traveling to Newport, KY to officially welcome the NKY River Monsters to the Continental Indoor Football League for the 2014 season.

The press conference will be held on Wednesday, A ugust 28th at 1 pm in the conference room on the second floor of the Newport Comfort Suites in Newport.

The NKY River Monsters Mission is to evaluate the talent within the Tri-State area and to put not only a talented team on the field, but on that is filled with solid off field character. We have Passion and Pride to consistently provide quality entertainment that is fun and affordable for the entire family to enjoy.

The NKY River Monsters Goal is to be a stepping stone for young athletes and coaches, to help move up in the leagues to achieve their goals. To help them improve their talents and to give them the tools they need to achieve maximum skills. We plan to be involved in the local community with several different non-profit organizations and the local schools within the NKY and Cincinnati area.

The NKY River Monsters will be playing all our home games at the Bank of Kentucky Center in Highland Heights on the NKU campus. "Being involved with football and the CIFL since it started in 2006 makes it an even bigger honor to have a team in this great league. I look forward to presenting an exceptionally talented team again this year to make a run for the Championship," stated NKY River Monsters owner Jill Chitwood.
