Cincinnati Saints Move up to PASL
August 27, 2013 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) News Release
The Professional Arena Soccer League announced today that the Cincinnati professional territory rights have been purchased by Cincy Saints, LLC.
As a result of the transaction, the Cincinnati Saints will move their Premier Arena Soccer League team into the PASL for the 2013-14 season.
The Saints played the last four seasons in the PASL-Premier and won their division the last two years.
The Cincinnati Saints Soccer Club also will operate a men's outdoor team in the National Premier Soccer League and a women's team in Women's League Soccer.
The Saints, who are led by owner David Satterwhite, will play at the Tri-County Sportplex in the PASL's Eastern Division with the Detroit Waza, Harrisburg Heat, Illinois Piasa, and Chicago Mustangs.
"As we have grown over time the goal has always been to bring a professional soccer team to Cincinnati," said Satterwhite. "That is exactly what we've done today by bringing the Saints to the PASL."
"The Cincinnati market has been a part of the PASL since our first year, so we were looking for someone who really knew the market and could balance success on and off the field," said PASL Commissioner Kevin Milliken. "We are confident that David Satterwhite and the Saints will make their mark in Cincinnati."
