The Hamilton Cardinals scored eight runs in the top of the ninth inning to rally from a 9-2 deficit but the London Majors still managed to edge the Cardinals 12-11 in a wild Intercounty Baseball League game played Friday night in London.

London (1-2) led 7-1 after six innings and 9-2 after eight before the Cards big ninth gave them a 10-9 lead. But the Majors scored once in the bottom of the ninth to tie and twice in the bottom of the 10th after Hamilton scored a single run to keep the Cards winless at 0-2.

Derrik Strzalkowski drove in the winning run with a 10th inning single for London, which had 22 hits in the game. Ryan Lapensee had five hits for the Majors and three RBI while scoring twice, while Chris Stewart had four hits and scored three runs.

Cleveland Brownlee and Adwin Springer both added three hits and two RBI for the Majors, who used seven pitchers in the game.

Dre Celestijn had three hits, scored two runs and drove in another for Hamilton, while Kyle Gappa also had three hits to pace Hamilton's 11-hit attack. Reliever Benson Merritt gave up the winning runs in the 10th.
