
OF Slade Heathcott (Yankees), RHP Bobby Cassevah (Angels) Named Players of the Week

Phoenix, Arizona - Two Scottsdale Scorpions' teammates - outfielder Slade Heathcott (Yankees) and right-handed starting pitcher Bobby Cassevah (Angels) - have been named the Arizona Fall League's week four player of the week and pitcher of the week, respectively.
Heathcott - The 6-1, 190-pound outfielder made the most of his two appearances last week, batting .667 and leading the league in triples (3), total bases (13), extra-base hits (4), RBI (6) and OPS (1.444).
For the first four week of the Fall League season, he was hitting .295 with 5 runs, 1 double, 3 triples, 9 RBI, 9 walks, 2 stolen bases with a .415 on-base percentage and .455 slugging percentage. His three triples tied for the league lead.
The 22-year-old split his 2012 season between the rookie-level Yankees of the Gulf Coast League and High-A Tampa of the Florida State League, batting .302 at the two stops with five home runs and 29 RBI. In his four-year minor-league career, he owns a .275 batting average with 12 homers and 76 RBI.
The Texarkana, AR naive was the Yankees' first-round draft choice (29th overall) in 2009 out of Texas High School.
Cassevah - The Angels' prospect was 1-0 last week in one start, striking out five and allowing three hits in five innings pitched.
The Jacksonville, FL native is 2-0 in four Fall League starts. His glittering 0.56 ERA leads the league's starters. He's allowed only one earned run in 16 innings pitched.
The 6-3, 220-pounder spent, an eight-year professional, spent most of 2012 with Triple-A Salt Lake (4-1, 6.22 ERA, 10 saves in 44 games). He also pitched for the parent Angels (1-0 with a 7.20 ERA in 4 games) and High-A Inland Empire (0-0, 1.80 ERA in five games).
He has appeared in 50 games for the Angels in the past three seasons (3-3, 3.20 ERA).
Cassevah, 27, was selected by the Angels in the 34th round (1,013th overall) of the 2004 draft out of Pace (FL) High School.
