
New TRBL Teams Given Provisional Approval for 2013

Wilmington, NC: The TRBL Board of Directors has given provisional approval for four new teams for the 2013 season. Those teams include the Blue Ridge Bison from Hendersonville, NC, the Silver Lakers from Spartanburg, SC, the Cobras from Greensboro, NC, and HoopForLyfe, a travel team from Charlotte, NC. Additional details about the new teams will be released in the coming weeks.
Teams were eligible for provisional approval after completing the league application, signing the TRBL "pact agreement", submitting references, and successfully completing the interview process with the Board of Directors. Full Board approval will be given to those teams achieving additional league-required milestones by December 15, 2012.
"We want to extend the warmest welcome for new TRBL members. There are still a couple of i's to dot and t's to cross for new and existing teams over the next few weeks, but we are on pace to have our schedule completed and released by mid December. We are very excited about the 2013 season," says TRBL Commissioner Patrick Dupree.
League officials also announced that both TRBL travel teams from the 2012 season, the Queen City Express and Big Texas, have home venues will play a full schedule in 2013.
The TRBL will begin the 2013 season in early April. ScoreTRAX.com will provide score broadcasting services for all TRBL games and technology services for all TRBL teams.
