Kirkaldy name player of the week for week threeOctober 2, 2012 - Professional Lacrosse League (PLL) Press Release
The Red Deer, Alberta native had six points in last week's game helping the Bullies earn their second franchise win in franchise history. The 6-4, 205-pound forward finished last week's game with four goals and three assists.
In 2002, Kirkaldy left Red Deer and went and played for the Calgary Jr. A Raiders for three years. There were many highlights in those three years, however, in 2005 Andrew and the Raiders won the Alberta provincial championship and played in the 2005 Minto Cup.
After the Minto was completed Andrew was drafted in the 5th Round 51st overall by the Calgary Roughnecks. Instead of trying out for the Roughnecks, Andrew decided to go to school at Gordon College where he was the 2006 Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Year. During his four year stint at Gordon Andrew managed to make the all-conference team each year he played and led his team in scoring two out of his four years. After Gordon, Andrew went and played for the Nanaimo Timberman of the Western Lacrosse League out of British Columbia. In 2009, Andrew was awarded the Keith Mann's "unsung hero" award.
