Sioux City Bandits Join CPIFL

August 22, 2012 - Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL)

Lawrence, KS. - The Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) Board of Directors has formally approved the membership application of the Sioux City Bandits. The Bandits are entering their 14th season of operation in 2013. Sioux City's application was approved unanimously by the team owners who attended the league meetings which were held earlier this month.

"In the CPIFL, fans will recognize old rivals like the Wichita Wild, Oklahoma Defenders, and Mid-Missouri Outlaws and there will be new rivals like the team from Kansas City and other Midwest cities that will be joining the league. On the business side, it was critical for us to join a league that is run by owners and have decisions made as a group", said Bandits owner Bob Scott.

"The business operation of the Sioux City Bandits has long been the class of indoor football. I have great respect for the work Bob Scott and Mark Carley have done to build the Bandits brand over the years. Their work is definitely a model for the rest of our league", said CPIFL Commissioner James Bain.
