Connecticut Tigers Home Stand August 7-9

August 6, 2012 - New York-Penn League (NYPL) Connecticut Tigers

NORWICH-The Connecticut Tigers return home for a brief three-game home stand against the Staten Island Yankees in their only appearance of the season at Dodd Stadium this Tuesday-Thursday at 7:05 p.m.

The fun starts on Tuesday, August 7 at 7:05 p.m. It's "Kayem Dollar Dog Night" with all hot dogs just a dollar. It's sponsored by Kayem Hot Dogs, the official hot dog of the Connecticut Tigers.

On Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. it's a "Grand Slam Family Four Pack Wednesday" with four reserved seats, four hot dogs, four sodas and a box of popcorn all for 40 dollars. The Tigers will also host a Price Chopper Wednesday Ticket Offer with a special buy one; get one ticket offer for fans that use their Price Chopper Advantage Card. The offers cannot be combined.

The series continues on Thursday, August 9 at 7:05 p.m. for a special "Thirsty Thursday Happy Hour" at "The Hole in the Wall Bar" down the first base side.

The gates will open an hour early at 5:00 p.m. with live music and drink specials throughout the night. The Tigers will also host "Olympics Night" with a special Olympics theme to select between-innings promotions. All fans that participate in the promotions Thursday will have a chance to win a replica medial courtesy of Champion Sports & Awards in Groton in addition to the normal prizes.

The Tigers will also host the Kra-Ze Vodka tasting in "The Yard" Bar and Grill on Thursday. A special ticket will be required for admission to the tasting.

The Connecticut Tigers are the Class-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play in the New York-Penn League. The Tigers saw a 23% increase in attendance in 2011, (the 4th highest in Minor League Baseball), and are in their 3rd season at Dodd Stadium. Tickets are now on sale!
