KODAK, Tenn. - The Milwaukee Brewers and Huntsville Stars have made a roster move prior to tonight's series opener at Tennessee. Outfielder Jay Gibbons has been promoted to Triple-A Nashville.
Gibbons was batting .316 (24-76) with eight doubles and 10 RBIs. He drew 13 walks and struck out 10 times in 24 games with the Stars.
There is no corresponding move, leaving the Stars active roster at 24, one below the Southern League limit.
The Stars open a five-game series at Tennessee tonight before returning home on Saturday for six games against the Mississippi Braves.
