A formal investigation was conducted by the LSFL Commissioner into the status of the team and on Friday January 27th the findings were presented to the Executive Committee. Those findings indicated that the team would not be viable for the entire season. In addition, the Mesquite Ownership was and is currently in breach of the League Affiliation Agreement and been in a breach status for 20 days. The Executive Committee voted unanimously to revoke Membership based upon the facts of the investigation and to present the finding to the League Membership for ratification.

On Saturday January 28, 2012, Darlene presented the recommendation to the entirety of the League Members and unanimously the League has ratified the recommendation of the Executive Committee. Furthermore the League will pursue all legal and compensable remedies available against the ownership of the Mesquite Bandits as per the League Affiliation agreement. Darlene Jones, Commissioner of the LSFL said, "It saddens me greatly that the Mesquite Bandits have not performed in accordance with our League Affiliation Agreement and have not done what is necessary to insure they will complete the entirety of the 2012 season." She continued to say, "I am proud of our remaining League Members for making the hard and unprecedented decision to suspend a team that is clearly not in the right position to complete the season before it affects the entire league." In conclusion, "I believe we have made the right decision to make the LSFL stronger and to send a message to all, that the LSFL will not tolerate ownership groups that fail to uphold the covenants in our Affiliation Agreement." As stated, the LSFL will be pursuing all legal compensable remedies available against the ownership group for Mesquite.

This will be the first time an indoor football League has revoked membership based upon breach of the affiliation agreement and lack of preparedness for the season. A new revised schedule will follow very quickly.
