Jason Caffey Named Head Coach Of Mobile Bay HurricanesJune 18, 2010 - American Basketball Association (ABA) Press Release
Caffey was born in Mobile and attended the University of Alabama before being selected by the Chicago Bulls in the first round as the 20th overall pick of the 1995 NBA draft. He had a wonderful career in Chicago winning two championship rings and averaging 7.3 points per game.
He was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 1997 where he averaged 12.0 points before moving on to the Milwaukee Bucks in 200. He played three seasons with the Bucks before his career was cut short due to an injury.
"I'm really excited about coaching the Hurricanes," stated Caffey. "The quality of players in the ABA is very good but there's a lot players can learn and I hope to be able to compete for the Championship while helping to improve the skills of our players. It should be fun and interesting." For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.mobilebayhurricanes.com. Tryouts are coming soon.
