Texas Tornado News Release
The Texas Tornado will be going for the sweep tonight has they host Game 3 of their first-round Robertson Cup Playoff series with the St. Louis Bandits.
Last weekend the Tornado traveled to St. Louis for the first two games of the series where the lower-seeded Tornado took both games, 3-2 and 3-1.
The Tornado are striving for their fourth National Championship, winning the league title in three consecutive seasons between 2004 and 2006.
The St. Louis Bandits are the current defending NAHL champions, winning each of the last three league championships since the Tornado completed their own streak of championships.
The winner of the series will take on the eventual winner of the series between the Topeka RoadRunners and the Springfield Jr. Blues who are currently tied up at 1-1.
Wednesday night's game will face-off at 7:00 pm at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco. If necessary, Thursday's Game 4 will also face-off at 7:00pm at Dr Pepper Arena.
