Storm To Host Pre-Season Game

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm will host the Orlando Predators in a pre-season game at the St. Pete Times Forum Friday, March 26 at 7:30 p.m., Head Coach and General Manager Tim Marcum announced today. The game gives Storm fans a season preview of the famed "War on I-4," and it gives Storm players a tune-up before the 2010 AFL regular season begins on the road in Tulsa Saturday, April 3 against the Talons.

"This game is a tremendous opportunity for some of the players to make a final push to earn a spot on the opening roster," said Marcum. "They won't get a better test than going against our biggest rival, the Predators. Additionally it gives us a chance to get back in front of our fans. We sure have missed playing arenaball in the St. Pete Times Forum these past two years."

Doors at the St. Pete Times Forum will open at 6 p.m. as the team will begin giving away incentives to fans that purchase season tickets every hour on the hour until 10 p.m. Give away items include: XO VIP Club passes for a Storm game, a suite for a game, tickets to April Tampa Bay Lightning home games, player meet and greets, as well as an opportunity to attend an away game. The 2010 Tampa Bay Storm Dancers will mingle with the fans and pose for pictures. Additionally many of the concession items will be available for only two dollars, including hamburgers, hot dogs, beer and soda.

Those in attendance will be able to purchase single-game tickets prior to the more public on-sale which starts Monday, March 29. Immediately following the conclusion of the game the dancers and players will sign autographs and legendary AFL Head Coach Tim Marcum will host a skills challenge for the fans.

The Storm kick off the 2010 season on Saturday, April 3 when they invade Tulsa and take on the Talons. The Storm return home to the confines of the St. Pete Times Forum for its home opener Friday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. Season Tickets start as low as $50!
