Sagu Named MISL Player Of The Week - Sagu

Blast goalkeeper Sagu earned his fifth win of the season yesterday with a 9-0 victory over the Rockford Rampage. It was the second shutout in team history and the third of Sagu's career (his first Blast shutout was a 13-0 victory over Chicago on March 22, 2008). Sagu, who ranks third in the MISL with a 9.63 points against average, stopped all 16 of the shots he faced in the match. He is tied to rank second in the league with five wins and has allowed 44 goals in 10 games played for a 4.41 goals against average.

About the Major Indoor Soccer League

The MISL represents the major league of professional indoor soccer, featuring the finest indoor soccer players from around the world. The league consists of five member clubs in 2009-10: the Baltimore Blast, La RaZa de Monterrey, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the Milwaukee Wave. The regular season will run for 18 weeks and will conclude on Sunday, March 21. The postseason is set to start the following weekend with the top three teams qualifying. The second- and third-place teams will square-off in a home-and-home Semifinal series with the winner advancing to battle the top seed.
