
MISL Names Player Of The Week

Jose Bontti, Monterrey La RaZa
Monterrey La RaZa goalkeeper Jose Bontti was the first keeper to score a goal this season, doing so in Monterrey's 13-6 home win over the Rockford Rampage on Sunday. He also posted 21 saves in the game and allowed just three goals on the night. La RaZa was leading 10-6 late in the fourth quarter when Bontti scored his three-point goal to seal the 13-6 victory. He leads the MISL with eight wins, 12 games played and 711:32 minutes played and ranks third with a 9.53 points against average.
About the Major Indoor Soccer League
The MISL represents the major league of professional indoor soccer, featuring the finest indoor soccer players from around the world. The league consists of five member clubs in 2009-10: the Baltimore Blast, La RaZa de Monterrey, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the Milwaukee Wave. The regular season will run for 18 weeks and will conclude on Sunday, March 21. The postseason is set to start the following weekend with the top three teams qualifying. The second- and third-place teams will square-off in a home-and-home Semifinal series with the winner advancing to battle the top seed.
