Saint John Riptide News Release

The Premier Basketball League's leading scorer and assist-man, Anthony Anderson of the Manchester Millrats, has earned an overseas contract with Trotamundos de Carabobo.

Anderson is the fourth Millrat to earn such a contract in the first month of the season.

Forward Alexus Foyle has signed a contract with Taiwan Mobile, Luke Bonner signed with the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League, and Jose Guitian with Humacao of the BSN in Puerto Rico.

"Part of our mission is to help players advance their playing careers, and we've done that extraordinarily well this season," said Millrats GM Ian McCarthy. "When it happens, it opens the door for other players to step into new roles."

Eric Gilchrese and Tyrece Gibbs, both rookie guards from the University of New Hampshire who were out of the Millrats guard rotation two weeks ago, are now starters. Gilchrese scored 28 points and Gibbs 19 in last night's game in Vermont.

Manchester heads to Rockville, Maryland on Saturday February 6th to visit the Maryland GreenHawks at 7:00PM at Wooten High School, before returning home to host the Lawton Fort-Sill Cavalry on Tuesday night at Hesser College.
