Blast Rookie Max Ferdinand Named MISL Player Of The Week

Max Ferdinand, Baltimore Blast Baltimore Blast rookie Max Ferdinand scored three goals Sunday to lead the Blast to a hard-fought 10-8 win over the Rockford Rampage. He scored three of Baltimore's four goals in the match, including two three-point goals, for eight points and the first hat trick of his career. Ferdinand, a former member of the NPSL's FC Reading Revolution, ranks third on the Blast and is tied to rank 11th in the MISL with 10 points after just three games.

About the Major Indoor Soccer League

The MISL represents the major league of professional indoor soccer, featuring the finest indoor soccer players from around the world. The league consists of five member clubs in 2009-10: the Baltimore Blast, La RaZa de Monterrey, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the Milwaukee Wave. The regular season will run for 18 weeks and will conclude on Sunday, March 21. The postseason is set to start the following weekend with the top three teams qualifying. The second- and third-place teams will square-off in a home-and-home Semifinal series with the winner advancing to battle the top seed.
