OurSports Central Names UFL Players of the Week

Las Vegas Locomotives quarterback JP Losman, Las Vegas defensive back Trey Young and Las Vegas kicker Graham Gano were named the OurSports Central United Football League Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively, for week five of the UFL season.

Losman was 27-37 passing for 277 yards and two touchdowns in the Las Vegas Locomotives' 41-10 victory over the New York Sentinels. Losman was the 22nd player taken in 2004 NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills and played four seasons with them.

Young finished with two tackles and one interception returned 75 yards for a touchdown that was the first defensive touchdown in UFL history, in the Locomotives victory. Young played college football at Montana and played four seasons in the CFL with the Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Eskimos from 2005 to 2008.

Gano was 5-5 on extra points and 2-2 on field goals of 44 and 49 yards. He played his college football at Florida State and in 2008 won the Lou Groza Award that is given to the top placekicker in college football. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens in training camp but lost the starting kicker job to Steve Hauschka.
