Phoenix, Arizona - The Arizona Fall League holds its third annual
Pat Tillman Foundation Beneft Night on Friday, October 23 at Scottsdale
Stadium when the host Scottsdale Scorpions entertain the Peoria Javelinas at
6:35 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.Outfelder Eric Byrnes, the Arizona Diamondbacks' 2009 Roberto Clemente Award nominee who played football against Tillman in high school in northern California, will be recognized for his fund-raising efforts on behalf of the Tillman Foundation.
Byrnes will be joined in pre-game ceremonies by several Tillman ASU Scholars and Tillman Military Scholars.
An extensive sports memorabilia auction that includes an array of autographed major-league jerseys of current and former players before and during the game highlights the event. Autographed baseballs will accompany every silent bid award.
All proceeds from the sports memorabilia auction and one-half of the night's gate receipts will be donated to the Tillman Foundation.
