Chicago, Illinois...The Premier Basketball League announced today that the league will be establishing a Fan Committee to meet and provide input to the PBL executive offices.

"We receive many suggestions and ideas from fans, and there is always great discussion on the chat boards on how the PBL could continue to grow and improve," stated PBL CEO Tom Doyle. "In keeping with a non-traditional approach to sports business we will be inviting ten fans, selected by the PBL from fan submissions, for an all expense paid trip to the PBL offices in Chicago in September to meet with the PBL and discuss the ideas of the fans selected. The meeting will also be filmed for a special broadcast on @SPORTSTV."

"Perhaps unlike other professional sports leagues, the PBL recognizes that our product is for fans and that the input of our fans is not only valued, but important in our growth as a sports business," stated PBL Chairman Dr. Sev Hrywnak

Details of how fans can be consider for the committee will be placed on the PBL web site on Friday, June 19, 2009.
